SO WHAT IS SPARTAN STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING?

What can I expect participating in the Spartan Strength and Conditioning Class?

You can expect to get a great workout with a different style of training! You'll be doing exercises in a controlled environment that deals with "functional" strength and conditioning that will translate into improving your performance in Obstacle Racing and any sport requiring strength, speed, and agility. Expect exercises such as tire flipping...carrying buckets of aggregate...slosh pipe training and much more while keeping a strong focus on:

-Speed

-Anaerobic Power

-Anaerobic Capacity

-Coordination

-Agility

-Reaction Time  

I'm not too athletically coordinated. Can I still do this program?

Yes you can! The great thing about this class is, if there is an exercise or weight you can't perform and/or lift, we can modify to fit your abilities and any of the strength training stations we have varied weight. 

Do I have to participate in Spartan Races to attend this class?

You do not! Where a lot of the training will overlap in what you would do in an Obstacle Race, this class will benefit anyone who is new to physical fitness, looking to lose weight, compete in MMA, or just looking for something different. Everyone is welcome!

 

Training Formats:

We utilize different styles/techniques of training in every class; From AMRAPS and Tabata style, to Circuit Training, and Tempo interval training. Some of the different exercises you will become familiar with are:

Mike is a logical out of the box thinker who is team oriented, and focused on helping everyone achieve their goals.. Currently he is a 2016 OCR World Championship Qualifier, 2X Spartan Ultra Beast Finisher and working on NASM-CPT.
